Always an Emergency
The Church
Report, on line one of the Forward, lets us
all know: "Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been
in a state of declared national emergency." As of 2024, that
is 91 years. When will it stop?
This stone piece shown here is titled ALWAYS AN EMERGENCY.
I cut, shaped, and assembled from the following combination of stone:
Red Pipestone from Minnesota
White Orthoclase Feldspar from New Mexico
Blue Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan
Yellow Texas Sulfur
Zippeite Uranium
The yellow fringe is made from
crushed Texas Sulfur mixed with crushed Zippeite Uranium and
jewelers glue. I bought the zippeite at a lapidary supply
store, on Central Avenue across from the casino and race
track, in war-torn Albuquerque, New Mexico.
