Democratizing Uranus

This is my salute to the National Endowment for Democracy. This endowment is a quasi-autonomous non-governmental organization in the United States founded in 1983. Ellected NGPPOs members dump their relatives and friends into key positions inside this organization, and then the elected partisan members dump millions of dollars into these organizations, primarily for political patronages and colonial efforts, and all at taxpayer and corporate funds.

This piece is titled Democratizing Uranus.

I created this piece using clay earth plaster, rough grit marble sand, and earth oxide colorant, on 1/2 primed plasterboard. The animal symbolism is inlay, the lettering is overlay, and this creates a 3d effect using veneer layering.
